About Us

Who we are and what we do

Project Overview

Atomic Tangerine wanted to explore the process of how musicians compose, arrange, produce, and write music. We left this purposefully open-ended so that we could refine our problem statement and resulting project based on the results of these interviews. However, we chose this topic because we know that there is a lot of room for improvement in this industry, and we were all interested in the realm of music composition.

Who we are

We are three students who formed a team for CS 171: Human Computer Interaction, at Tufts. Together we are: Atomic Tangerine!

Becca Miller

Becca Miller

she/her

Becca is a senior at Tufts studying Computer Science & Sociology. She’s involved in JumboCode, Torn Ticket II, WiCS, and Tau Beta Pi, and in my free time, you can find me reading, seeing friends, or watching Netflix! She’s excited to be taking a course that will teach her to think from a more human perspective.

Jason Payne

Jason Payne

he/him

Jason is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. Having also done his undergraduate at Tufts, he is excited to be back in person to learn more. In his free time, he likes to create music, both through his own compositions as well as through his a capella group, Enchanted. His own struggles in finding good software tools have inspired him to see if he can work towards fixing similar problems for others in this class.
